Help Us Improve Early Lyme Disease Detection!

 

Boston University is looking for volunteers to participate in an exciting clinical study at BU Clinical Testing Lab!

Help us validate a microneedle-based sampling device that could revolutionize how we detect Lyme disease early and accurately.

Who can participate?

 

  • Anyone who has recently been bitten by a tick, knows exactly where the bite occurred (the tick left a bite mark), and contacts us within 3 days of removal of the tick

OR

  • Anyone with a clinically diagnosed erythema migrans (the rash commonly seen in Lyme disease).

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Simply scan the QR code or follow this link and answer a 2-minute pre-screening questionnaire.

  • Provide a biological fluid sample from the tick bite or rash site (painless sampling).

  • Participants may experience mild discomfort, redness, or irritation at the site of the microneedle patch application.

 

  • 20 minutes of your time – receive a $50 gift card as thanks for your participation!
